Jim Morrison

(Dec. 8,1943-July 3, 1971)

Address of Garden:

*Gps on the iphone: 11601-11683 sw 45 st, miami, fl,33165 united states.*

As much as I wish to say I was a fan of Jim Morrison before this project, I can only to claim to have loved the song "people are strange".  Now having done this project- I find that he is beyond what I could have thought of. A brilliant mind that no one took seriously; or as serious as they should have taken his words.  However, he was a revolution waiting to happen, had he not died of drugs or "natural causes".  His life was rather nomadic having been born into a militaristic family, which his own life as a rock star mirrored the constant moving. He had a very wide sense of love- and an even wider sense of sex.  His life was built on the base of being true to himself, a base of which he had been quoted for others to do the same. He lived against the current, and made his own path- and with this project he became my hero.
I grow this garden for him, because he was an individual that deserves a monument in his name- but a garden fits him better. As he was wanted in Dade, and it is where he shined the most with being himself after showing "himself" in front of an Audience at his concert; this garden will be planted near the busiest roads. Signifying his life with people passing through it, but he's off to the side, away from the mainstream of everyday life- and being in his own realm.
