Speaking Sustainably:

Xavier Cortada will kick-off the 2012 "Speaking Sustainably" series at Deering Estate by presenting a lecture on his participatory eco-art practice. "Speaking Sustainably" is a Film and Lecture Series offered free to the public in partnership with the FIU’s School of Environment, Arts and Society to engage the community with critical environmental issues of the twenty-first century and to inspire action.

Beyond its wonderfully unique landscape, South Florida is host to some of the richest natural resources in the world. The balance of human and natural systems in our growing urban community is central to economic, political, cultural, scientific and academic dialogues regarding the environment.

Speaking Sustainably is a Film and Lecture Series offered free to the public in partnership with the FIU’s School of Environment, Arts and Society to engage the community with critical environmental issues of the twenty-first century and to inspire action.
