Ecological Reflections Exhibit at NSF Headquarters

The National Science Foundation has selected Xavier Cortada's Reclamation Project as the works for this year's Ecological Reflections exhibit (http://www.ecologicalreflections.com) featuring eleven of their Long Term Ecological Research (LTER) sites. The exhibit will at their headquarters and run from February 28 thru June 15, 2013. Cortada's work will include an installation of mangrove propagules and an accompanying video.

FIU College of Architecture + The Arts Artist-in-Residence Xavier Cortada partners with the Miami Science Museum (http://www.miamisci.org/) and FIU's Florida Coastal Everglades LTER (http://fcelter.fiu.edu/) in the implementation of his participatory eco-art project aimed at engaging the community in protecting and reforesting coastal area
