Artist's Statement

A radical unity supports the vast diversity of appearances in nature and the human experience. My work explores this conviction through synthesis of abstracted formal references to animal, plant and geologic sources, resulting in composite forms that exist in the fluid margin between categories. In this way it challenges an "either/or" interpretation of form and replaces it with a sense of wonder.
