About the Artist

Leslie Jeffery splits her time between Florida and North Carolina and paints the regional inspiration - from cabins to sunsets, waterfalls to herons. She works in large and small scale, representational and more lately, large contemporary abstracts. She has a degree in Art Education and is a lifelong painter.

Artist's Statement

I love to paint the beautiful things I see. The more colorful, the better. Sometimes I finish a painting and "Wow, that was fun!". Sometimes I try to follow the subject and render it in a painterly fashion and other times I follow the paint, the brush and the strokes and see where it takes me.
