About the Artist

I was born in Opalocka Florida in 1952, and grew up in Miami. I have lived and have my studio in Tallahassee Florida since 1993. I have had a life long love of the natural world and have devoted the last several years to protecting, documenting pollinators, animals and plants in Florida.

Artist's Statement

I feel my art is an attempt to explore beneath the surface, challenging the viewer to look closely and get something in return. I have always loved materials that have a life of their own, a history. If my work is about anything, it's about situations, a grand microcosm and dramas captured that were missed by the naked eye.
