Developed by Xavier Cortada, director and artist-in-residence of FIU’s College of Architecture + The Arts’ Office of Engaged Creativity, the project commemorates Florida’s quincentenary in 2013.

About the Artist

Always a keen observer of her surroundings and the world around her, Jen has been recording these images in her mind and on paper since childhood. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Art Education from St. Aquinas College, Sparkill, New York.

Throughout adulthood, Jen often worked in various mediums, including photography and ceramics, as well as painting. 


Artist's Statement

I feel very fortunate to be able to express myself freely through my art. Painting allows me to share my true passions and feelings. In this way I can form a connection, and communicate with the viewer.
