About the Artist

I've lived in Northwest Florida for 38 years and am still inspired by the abundance of natural beauty here. I learned the art of silver jewelry making in Tucson, spent many years as an airbrush artist on the beach here and did some commercial art along the way. Once my three children were well on their way I have been able to devote more time to my love of painting.

My art work includes airbrushed t-shirts, southwest jewelry, commercial art, furniture painting and my greatest love; painted canvases!

Artist's Statement

A glorious piece of nature, a lyric, a passing thought; these are my inspirations. I feel fortunate to be able to portray these images, but even more grateful for when the work takes me on the journey it had planned instead of where I thought we were going.

The rosemary plant grows in abundance all around this area. I have always loved its delicate beauty and the wonderful aroma of the leaves. I see it scattered in the scrub oaks and vegetation leading up to the dunes. I am painting this little flower big and bold to exemplify its beauty.
