Artist's Statement

Creativity fuels my energy. I find incomparable beauty in everyday life and hopefully reflect that in my art. Photography freezes a scene in time; my painting is an interpretation and record of that moment. I see myself as a keeper in a throwaway society, painting to provide a historic perspective on our ever-changing world. This orchid growing in my region has been painted it in memory of a dear friend Nancy Paget Ginocchio. She was my Alpha Phi sorority sister at Northwestern University and was the former President of the Naples Orchid Society.
