About the Artist

Having graduated from MASSART, I started a family and traveled extensively, while making as much art as possible. I never really favored one style, subject or medium over another. All are tools of expression and all can be found in my work. I have exhibited in many areas of the country and continue to show my work. Everything is inspirational to creating and every creation is an inspiration for the next.

Artist's Statement

I was delighted to learn about FLOR500! It has given me the opportunity to learn something new and the challenge to turn that knowledge into a work of art. The plant, Pinckneya bracteata, that I chose is unfortunately on the endangered species list. Maybe that can change if people realize its value. Its other popular name, Fever Tree, began when a fever reducing tea was made from the bark.
