Developed by Xavier Cortada, director and artist-in-residence of FIU’s College of Architecture + The Arts’ Office of Engaged Creativity, the project commemorates Florida’s quincentenary in 2013.

About the Artist

Jill Brougher received a Bachelor of Fine Arts with an emphasis in Painting and Ceramics from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. Her aesthetic is influenced by classical drawing and a strong connection to the natural world. 

She is the recipient of a National Endowment of the Arts, Florida Enhancement Grant and is currently represented by Watson MacRae Gallery located in Sanibel Florida.
