About the Artist

I grew up in SWFlorida, went to art school in New York City and spent many years painting and exhibiting my work in NY, Paris and Montreal.

In 2008 I moved back to SWFlorida where I rediscovered the nature that again feeds my work.

Artist's Statement

For most of my painting life I have made abstractions based on landscape. It is not about illustrating an idea, but rather finding the essence through experimentation. For this project I felt challenged to represent the Marinevine as it grows on its own, away from other plants and trees and also to stay true to the delicate and subtle colors of Florida flora.
