Developed by Xavier Cortada, director and artist-in-residence of FIU’s College of Architecture + The Arts’ Office of Engaged Creativity, the project commemorates Florida’s quincentenary in 2013.

About the Artist

Kim Moore is a visual artist who works in a variety of media, including oil painting, silk painting, ceramics, drawing, and mosaic. She lives and teaches in Miami, and she is currently an MFA candidate at FIU.

 

Artist's Statement

My current work focuses on ideas of identity as transient, existing as a moment in time. I'm exploring the different masks we wear, both intentionally and unintentionally, and the ways these masks are evidenced through electronic media.
