About the Artist

Oliver Perez was born and raised in South Florida. He graduated with a BFA from FIU, with a concentration in drawing. His work focuses a lot on geometric shapes and simple forms within splashes of multiple colors. He continues to work in different kinds of mediums such as drawing, painting and sculpting; expanding his portfolio.

Artist's Statement

The Pineland Passionflower is a rare and endangered plant native to South Florida  Using pen and ink wash, i draw the flower and it’s surroundings with a series of shapes that parallel the simple form within it's own complexity.
