FLOR500, Garden 104 Ruby Diamond, Philanthropist (1886–1982) Ruby Diamond was born in Tallahassee and lived here her entire life. She graduated from Florida State College (later Florida State University) in 1905 with a degree in chemistry. She inherited a large fortune from her family and donated to charitable causes throughout her lifetime, including FSU, the Humane Society, the Salvation Army, Temple Israel, and other organizations. Ruby Diamond Auditorium at FSU is named for her.

Ruby Diamond was born in Tallahassee and lived here her entire life. She graduated from Florida State College (later Florida State University) in 1905 with a degree in chemistry.
