FLOR500, Garden 128 Robert Meacham, Minister, Politician (1835–1902) Meacham was born in Quincy of a white father and black mother. He became a minister and a politician. Meacham served as Voter Registrar in Jefferson County from 1867 to1868. He was an 1868 Constitutional Convention delegate for Jefferson County in 1868, and served in the Florida Senate from 1868 to 1879. He was also Superintendent of Schools in Jefferson County, and worked as Jefferson County Clerk and Monticello Postmaster.

Robert Meacham, Minister, Politician
