FLOR500, Garden 171 Henry John Klutho (1873–1964) Klutho was a notable architect who helped rebuild Jacksonville after the city was destroyed by fire in 1901. He belonged to the Prairie School of Architecture. He designed Jacksonville’s first skyscraper, the Bisbee building. He also designed the St. James Building, which housed the Cohen Brothers Department Store. The largest building in Jacksonville, it was completed in 1912 to much acclaim.
