FLOR500, Garden 19 Erwin S. Buck, Early Settler, Merchant, Postmaster (1867–1954) Buck, originally from Ohio, settled with his wife in Camp Walton in 1908. He purchased a store near the Gulfview Hotel, and was the community’s third postmaster. In 1911, he moved the store and post office to Santa Rosa Sound. The store served as a filling station and supply stop for boats, and was a community landmark. He also donated land for the Camp Walton School.
