FLOR500, Garden 283 Edna Giles Fuller, Politician, Women’s Rights Activist (1874–1952) Edna Fuller was the first woman elected to the Florida Legislature as Orange County’s representative to the Florida House from 1929-1931. During World War II, she encouraged women’s involvement in the war effort. She is also recognized for her work on woman’s suffrage, inter-racial relations, and leading the campaign for women’s right to serve on juries.
