FLOR500, Garden 88 Dr. Henry G. Williams, Physician (1872–1927) Dr. Williams was a well-known African American doctor and druggist who established his practice in Pensacola in the 1890s. He ran the Pensacola Drug Company and ice cream parlor on Palafox Street until the inception of the Jim Crow laws. Then he moved his practice and drug store to the all-black Belmont-Devilliers business district.
