FLOR500, Garden 89 Charles Wilson, Attorney (1925–1992) Charles Wilson was an African American attorney in Pensacola. He was active in the civil rights movement, and helped desegregate schools, restaurants, and other businesses in the 1950s and 1960s. He was appointed as a special assistant state attorney general to investigate civil rights violations in 1963.
