FLOR500, Garden 94 Dr. Alpha Omega Campbell, Physician (1887–1971) Dr. Campbell was born in rural Gadsden County. He attended the Boston College of Physicians and Surgeons and returned to Tallahassee in 1914 where he started a private practice. In 1937, he added a six-bed clinic next to his office. In 1947, he opened the Laura Bell Memorial Hospital, which operated until 1957.
