Tinker leaped into the Florida land boom as a developer and real estate agent buying land to build neighborhoods, commercial buildings and recreational sites. He owned the Orlando Tigers baseball team, which won a State Championship under his leadership. The Tinker Building and Tinker Field are Central Florida landmarks that still carry his name.
