FLOR500, Garden 391 Susie Billie, Seminole Medicine Woman (ca. 1896–2003) This quiet and reserved woman was a holder of traditional medicinal knowledge for the Seminole Tribe. Her knowledge and power were well respected in the Big Cypress community and throughout the Tribe. She was dedicated to preserving the traditions that remain an incredibly important part of Seminole culture despite the intrusions of modern society.
