George Sukeji Morikami, Philanthropist (1887–1976) George Morikami emigrated to America from Japan in 1906. He lost his land during World War II to the military for Boca Raton Army Airfield. He gave the land he acquired and farmed after the war to Palm Beach County which built Morikami Park starting in 1975. It is now the home of Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens. FLOR500, Garden 448

George Sukeji Morikami, Philanthropist

(1887–1976)

George Morikami emigrated to America from Japan in 1906. He lost his land during World War II to the military for Boca Raton Army Airfield.
