About the Artist

Jan Bennicoff, artist, musician and writer has a B.A. from UW-Millwaukee in Drawing and Painting as well as a B.M. in music from UW-Stevens Point.  

She is a member of City Arts Cooperative in Panama City, Fl. where she teaches drawing, watercolor and oils. 

 

 


Artist's Statement

My artistic work takes an alternative look at colors and the way they appear in nature. Many have referred to me as a "colorist” because of the brightness of my colors.

Influenced by the Impressionists, Expressionists and the Fauvists, I create color interactions that tantalize the eyes and senses though use of complimentary colors.
