FLOR500, Garden 400 Chitto Tustenuggee (Snake Warrior), Seminole Leader Chitto Tustenuggee was the chosen successor of Abiaka. During the Second Seminole War he fought in several battles with his people but also helped negotiate peace when the time called for it. His camp once stood at Snake Warrior’s Island in Miramar, Florida during the 1830s and it remained occupied until the 1890s. Snake Warrior’s Island is the oldest Seminole site in the East Everglades.
