Perform Locally

Miami artist Xavier Cortada originally painted and placed 24 shoes in a circle around the North and South Poles. The shoes represent a different part of the world affected by climate change. To do the ritual simply place the 12 pairs of shoes in a circle and read the words of those effected by global climate change.  At the end, add your 25th quote.


Participate by following these steps:

1. Find a group of 24 people to perform the Longitudinal Installation ritual with and engage in the performance. Click here to download instructions.

2. Document the performance with photos and video.

3. Upload photo in the form below. Photos of performance will be posted online.

4.  Add the "25th quote."
